Exploring biology — from classic discoveries to cutting-edge technologies
Stanford Summer Session
Hi! My name is Maksim Frolov!
I’m a high-school student from Moscow, passionate about biology, biotechnology, AI, and computer science.
I run the Biology Science Club, where students from different countries explore how biology connects with modern technologies and global challenges.
Our club brings together curious minds from Russia, Germany, Spain, France, the UK, and China.
We discuss new discoveries, share book recommendations, and invite scientists to online talks.

Outside the classroom
When I’m not studying or recording podcast episodes, you can usually find me playing chess, sketching ideas, or designing small games with friends. I also love sailing — it’s a great way to think, disconnect, and sometimes come up with new science questions.
In 2024, I spent a few weeks in the United Kingdom, studying English at Studio Cambridge School.

Last summer (2025), I joined the Stanford University Pre-College Program, where I met students from all over the world, explored the Stanford campus, and dove deeper into my interests in biology, technology, and innovation.

I’m always open to collaboration, research ideas, and meeting students who share my passion for science. For example, for the last period of time I had an experience as a research assistant to PhD student Nikita Kulikov
